Friday Afternoon School Sailing

Friday afternoon sailing sessions are organised for High School students on the Atherton Tablelands. They take place in Term 1 and 4 each year. In Term 1 students must be enrolled in Year 7 or above. In Term 4 students must be enrolled in Year 6 or above. 

There are two aims of these sessions:

1. To learn to sail or improve your sailing ability.
2. To select school teams that will compete in the annual “NQ Inter-School Teams Racing Championships”.

A fee of $60 is charged to cover each term's Friday afternoons.

The participants will be limited to 21 students. The first 21 students to register will secure their position in the program.

Dates for Term 4 (2023) are:

• Friday 6 October
• Friday 13 October
• Friday 20 October (no sailing as this clashes with the Mission Beach Regatta)
• Friday 27 October
• Friday 3 November (no sailing as this clashes with the Sail Bowen Regatta)
• Friday 10 November
• Friday 17 November
• Friday 24 November

We start as soon as you can get to the club after school on Friday and finish at 6pm.
