Friday afternoon sailing sessions are organised for High School students on the Atherton Tablelands. Students must be enrolled in Year 7 or above in 2021. The sessions will run during Term 4, 2021.
There are two aims of these sessions:
1. To learn to sail or improve your sailing ability.
2. To select school teams that will compete in the “2022 - NQ Inter-School Teams Racing Championships”.
The format for Friday afternoons will change slightly this term. We will start with an open "Come and Try Afternoon" to encourage some new sailors to join the program. From then on there will be a $60 fee to cover the following six Fridays.
The participants will be limited to 21 students. The first 21 students to register will secure their position in the program.
Dates for Term 4 (2021) are:
Friday 15 October ("Come and Try Afternoon" - bring your friends there is no charge)
Friday 22 October
Friday 29 October
Friday 5 November
Friday 12 November
Friday 19 November
Friday 26 November
We start as soon as you can get to the club after school on Friday and finish at 6pm.
