FAQ

Please nominate for the regatta ONLINE prior to the event.

If a family is entering multiple boats, please use EACH SKIPPER to separately enter the event. There needs to be an individual entry under each of the skipper's names (using their AS number) for each boat entered.

All sailors and crew must have a current AS number, by being a current member of an Australian Sailing affiliated Club.  If you don't have an AS number, please ask about obtaining a SAILPASS ($36 for the regatta).

Please note we will not be having a trailer sailer division this year, due to lack of numbers.

Any questions please contact the Commodore, Roger Wadley 0427916568

EFT will be available for the event.

Green Fleet

The Junior GREEN FLEET division will be running again this year. These sailors will be kept separate from the main course areas. Briefing for Green Fleet will be at 10.30am in the undercover briefing area, prior to the invitiation race.

Details about races:

Important - on your arrival at Tinaroo, please present to the registration desk (near the start box) to check off your details.

Invitation Race 10.30am Saturday morning: this is a welcome race for the May Day Regatta PRIOR to the General Briefing. Please read sailing instructions for this year's starting procedure. Sign on is compulsory. The invitation race allows all participants to enjoy a small sail to get to know the course, the buoys and starting light sequence. Just a fun race with no points going towards the end results. Please ask at the Starter's box about Tinaroo's starting light sequence or if you have any other questions. Information is also in the sailing instructions.

Twilight Race & Frostbite Race:  these races are just for fun (no points score). They are centered around the youngsters (and adults) having an enjoyable time out on the water and trying out another boat for new experiences. Please sign on prior, so your name goes into the prize draw. These races are held Saturday twilight and early Sunday morning. (Anyone not registered for the regatta that intends to sail in the Twilight or Frostbite, need to arrange a sailpass from the starter's box, prior to the race (free of charge)).

Charter boats: there is also a range of club boats for charter, including RS Quests, RS Fevas and Open Skiffs. Numbers are limited, so please book early.

Catering

All day: snacks, soft drinks, poppers and water. Hot pies and sausage rolls. Coffee Van on site Sunday and Monday morning.

Lunch: steak burger, beef burger, zucchini slice (vegetarian), sausage on bread and hot specials, plus other delicious items including vegetarian options.
